A field guide to rekindling connection with our neighbors and our planet.

What we do:

Guided Local Hikes

Schedule a private naturalist guided hike or sign-up for our hike calendar. Hikes can vary based on difficulty, duration, terrain, and ecology. Hikes with the “community” label are always free.

Community Movement

Get together and get ready to make a new friend. We’ll meet outside for an hour to move our bodies and wake up our spirit!

Backyard Tours

Curious about the beings in your backyard? Schedule a private 1-2 hour tour of your property to learn about what’s growing in your backyard.

Nature Writing Workshop

Join us outdoors for a nature writing workshop. Bring an existing writing project that you’d like to work on or start something new.

Garden Installations

It’s up to each of us to support our local ecosystem. Have some extra space in your yard you’d like to set aside to support wildlife? Let’s dream up a visually stunning garden that will support biodiversity in your neighborhood.

Outdoor Education

Contact us for availability to book outdoor education for your school or workplace. Also available for speaking engagements for your next event!

 FAQs

  • For events labeled “Community” there is no charge for these events. Coffee fund donations are always appreciated but their is no obligation.

For Garden Design Installation, Outdoor Education Workshops and Speaking Engagements and Private Hikes: Please contact us for pricing. Pricing will depend on the scope of the project. Our pricing is reasonable and we operate on a sliding scale.

  • You can find us hiking most frequently in Morris County, New Jersey. However, we serve the tristate area and Coastal Rhode Island (limited availability).

  • Hike schedules will be listed with a level:

    • foray (slow and winding - we take our time and appreciate the sights and sounds of the trail)

    • moving right along! (We’ll take breaks but will keep an even, brisk pace as we hike - Hikes will naturally pace based on how the group is feeling that day)

    • Adventure (A more rigorous pace, generally longer hikes, with more elevation or added terrain challenge).

Choose your level of hike and read the “How to prepare guide” on the sign-up schedule. You’ll also receive an email with additional details and reminders before the hike date.

  • I work with my clients to design and install pollinator gardens for their home or community space.
